I successfully defended my masters thesis this morning. My presentation went extremely well, and I'm proud of the work and the research I was able to put together in such a short period of time. I want to thank everyone who provided me data for my survey (I got over 230 responses, though I wasn't able to use results from testers under 18), tested my characters for me, and espcially everyone who offered me thoughts and suggestions along the way. I feel that the TF2 community feedback was essential in developing the characters to the way they look now, and I hope they're a lot better by the time I'm done with them.

I hope to wrap up all my final schoolwork today, finish up the last few assets for the Cosmonuts game, and in a week I'll be graduating! Hopefully the job search will get easier after the New Year, but I'm looking forward to it.

Oh, I just didn't feel like there would be much, if any, distinction between the way a male and female pyro would look.

Do you think a Cintique is superior to, say, an A4 (or bigger) Intuos4?

I wouldn't use an Intuos larger than roughly 6x8, it doesn't seem worth all of the extra arm movement. Cintiq 21UX is well worth the cost in my opinion, but I'm not sure that I would want the smaller one.
